Current Teacher Inquiry Group
- The Art of Teaching Writing (2nd edition) by
Lucy Calkins is the focal text for a group of thirteen
northeast Ohio educators that gathers on a regular
basis to discuss selected readings and have
collegial discussions about the text. Teachers in
this inquiry group are implementing strategies
from the text and discussion sessions. Several
members are conducting action research within
their various classrooms/worksites regarding
changes in their own pedagogical practices.
Results will be discussed at future meetings.
- Inquiry Circles by Stephanie Harvey and Harvey
Daniels is the selected text for the Mahoning
Valley teacher inquiry group. The group is also
reading Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson.
